Donation and refund policy

Gifts are final

A donation is a gift to a charity, not a purchase. There is no cooling-off period and no right of withdrawal: the statutory consumer right of withdrawal for distance selling does not apply, because no product or service is supplied.

Your gift enters our ANBI records immediately and is allocated to the project you chose.

Exceptions

We will only review a reversal in these cases: a demonstrable duplicate payment, a technical error on our side, or a payment made without your authorisation.

Report it within 14 days of the payment date to info@sgsbenelux.nl, quoting your reference. We assess the report together with our payment provider; for an unauthorised SEPA direct debit you may also contact your own bank.

Recurring and periodic gifts

You can stop a recurring gift at any time from the donor portal or by email. Cancellation applies to future instalments; instalments already collected are not refunded.

A five-year periodic gift agreement also has tax consequences if it ends early — please contact us in that case.

Wrong amount

Please check your amount carefully before paying. An amount entered too high is not automatically covered by the exceptions above, but you are always welcome to report it.
